So we decided to start potty training Savannah. She has been really interested in the potty and even puts her baby dolls on it and pretends they are "poo-pooing". After her nap on Sunday afternoon I let her throw all her diapers in the trash and then pick out the new panties she wanted to wear. The first time she peed in her panties she cried. She hated being wet. I decided to try a method called the 3-day method. With this method you are to be with them 24/7 for 3 days catching them in ALL their accidents. Once they start to pee you rush them to the potty. This is supposed to help them learn to listen to their bodies. Anyway, by the next afternoon she had gotten it. When she woke up from her nap on Monday it was like it just "clicked". She started telling me when she needed to go to the bathroom and making it there every time. Monday afternoon we had NO accidents at all. On Tuesday and Wednesday we only had 1 accident. We even ventured out on Wednesday to meet friends for lunch and to go to the park. We were gone for 3 1/2 hours with NO accidents. She is doing GREAT! She has actually surprised me with how easily this has seemed to come for her. She is still in pull-ups at night and during naps. But all the other times she is now in big girl panties! YAY!!!
