Today we went to my parents for an early Easter and birthday celebration. We were supposed to have a big Easter get together with my extended family (aunts, uncles, cousins and their kids), but my cousin is really sick with gall stones and having surgery in the morning so we decided to postpone it. However, we still let the kids do an early celebration. They colored and decorated Easter eggs, decorated Easter cookies and had an Easter egg hunt. They had a BLAST!! Savannah got so excited when she would find an Easter egg to put in her basket. She was even more excited when she found out that some were filled with candy. She really liked coloring the Easter eggs. And of course, though, ALL of her eggs had to be blue. Blue is her favorite color right now. She picks blue EVERYTHING!! She also enjoyed decorating the cookies. She did a great job. Her favorite part were the sprinkles. She would shake and shake it and then pick one little sprinkle up and eat it and say "Yum!"
We also celebrated my dad and brother Ray's birthdays today. This is another thing Savannah loves to do....singing Happy Birthday and blowing out candles....we play this all the time at home. We had a wonderful and fun day!! Happy belated birthday Dad and Ray!! We love you!
P.S. Notice Savannah's little ponytail on top of her head in most of the pictures. She wanted to be like her cousin Emmy! Too cute!
