Birthday, ALS Walk, Visiting.....

Savannah and I spent the last 4 days at my parents house. My aunt Debi flew in from Oregon and our good friend Pam drove down from Ohio to attend the ALS walk this weekend. They, along with my parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, siblings and in-laws all walked in the ALS walk this weekend in memory of my grandmother Ann who passed away from the disease a year ago. Although the situation for our get together wasn't the best it was great to get to see everyone and spend some time with them. However, the walk ended with a little scare. One of my aunt's tripped, hit her head against the concrete which knocked her out cold and caused her to have a seizure due to the head trauma. It was very scary. However, after much prayer and a trip to the ER she ended up being ok and leaving with a badly bruised shoulder, and concusion. On another note, Savannah had an absolute blast this weekend. Between hanging out with her grandparents and cousins (whom she adores), staying up late, eating cookies, brownies and even a cold stone creamery cake, she had about as much excitement as she could handle for a while! My mother's birthday was Friday, the 17th so we also were able to celebrate her birthday with her. Happy belated birthday mom. We love you very much.

It's very quiet here in Oregon without the laughter of Savannah, Emily & Sydney. I miss you already & looking forward to seeing all of you again at Christmas! Much love, Aunt Debi
