The Fly Lady!

So one of my online mommy friends was talking about how she never was able to clean her house to the extent that she wanted to. Boy could I understand. I feel like I am barely getting the weekly things done (vacuuming, dusting, laundry, etc.) and am never able to get to de-cluttering, organizing or deep cleaning my house. She told me about this lady and her website that she found that helps moms organize their life and shows them how to get more done in just a couple of extra minutes each day. Curious and always wanting cleaning tips I looked at the website called flylady.net I am now hooked and am so excited to get started. She talks about having a morning routine and bed time routine and only spending 1 hour a day cleaning different designated areas. She also splits your home into zones and shows you how to deep clean, de-clutter, and organize 1 zone per week with only spending 15 minutes a day extra on that zone. She helps you come up with a control journal to keep track of everything...what and when you are cleaning, meal planning, recipes and also includes personal things/time (such as devotions, bubble bathes, etc.). I am so excited. I feel like I have now been given the tool to figure out how to get the things done around here that I have been wanting done but couldn't find or figure out the time to do it. Granted, I could clean all day everyday, but who wants to do that. I want to spend my time playing, enjoying, and treasuring every moment I have with my little girl! I may never have my WHOLE house clean on a specific day but following her cleaning routine I will know through out the week it will all be done eventually, AND will be deep cleaned once a month. Boy, does that make me feel happy and excited!!
