So I decided that it was time for Savannah to give up her last bottle, the morning bottle which had become very precious and dear to her. I knew the older she got the harder it would be to break her of this. So Monday morning I was determined that our house would for now on be free of bottles. I gave her pancakes as a reward that morning since that is her favorite breakfast meal! I knew it might be hard in the morning but I thought once we got through the first couple of mornings that we would be fine. Well since Monday morning my daughter has fussed and wined ALL day long EVERY day and today is Friday!! This morning while I was pouring her a sippy cup or milk she said "ba-ba"...and I said "no, we don't take bottles anymore this is a sippy of milk". I am told it may take a week or two before she "forgets" and adjusts to not having her morning bottle. Well at least hopefully I am almost half way there!! Even though at times I want to just give in and give her a bottle to make her happy...I won't b/c I know eventually I am going to have to do this and we have survived now without a bottle for close to a week!!!

You're such a meanie........just kidding. Good for you, for sticking with your plan. In the long run, you'll be glad that you did. Love, Aunt Debi
i know of children at daycare that had a really hard time giving up their bottle..and their parents would give in..so I commend you for staying persistent and consistent with moving on from the bottles. :)
Hope taking the bottle away went ok over the weekend!!
