A few months ago I was introduced to another woman named Angela, via a moms group. She was in need of breast-milk for her little girl. Her little girl's name is Stephanie. As I began hearing about her situation I knew I had to help her. Her little girl, now 2 1/2, was born with down syndrome and congestive heart failure. They call the little girl "Champ" because she keeps trudging her way through life's battles one at a time. She has already had 2 open heart surgeries in her short life and is headed back for her 3rd on Monday April 14th. Her last open heart surgery left her on complete life support and in the hospital for 73 days. Her mother is pleading for everyone she knows to get the word out about her daughters surgery so that she may have as much prayer as possible. I know our God is bigger than any disease....and I am asking that everyone please keep this family the "Hedrick's" in your prayers. Please say an extra prayer for Stephanie and for the surgeons that will be operating on her the morning of the 14th. It breaks my heart to hear this story, and especially now, that I have a child of my own it is unbearable to imagine having to go through something like this as a parent. If you would like to learn more about Stephanie and her family their website is www.caringbridge.org/visit
