So after starting on our 2nd antibiotic, Savannah is finally starting to feel better!! She woke up this morning with a temperature of only 99.2*. YEA!!! It has been a LONG week! Because of having a urinary tract infection at such a young age Savannah's doctor wanted her to get an ultrasound done of her kidney's as well as a VCUG (voiding cystourethrogram). This is a procedure where they insert a catheter, shoot dye into her bladder and watch through x-ray pictures as it is urinated out. They are watching to make sure that it all drains out properly and that there is no dye that is being refluxed upward toward her kidneys, in an abnormality called VUR (vesicoureteral relux). We were not sure we wanted to put Savannah through this procedure. But after much research on the procedure and abnormality we decided it is important to have it done. We will take her to the hospital next Tuesday the 22nd for both the ultrasound and VCUG. I am very nervous about Savannah going through this. Please pray that the procedures are quick and painless and that no abnormalities will be found. I will update everyone after we know the results. Thank you!
