Savannah recently got to take her first trip to Disney World. Nana and Papaw take each grandchild as their 4th birthday present. She has been looking forward to this for close to a year now! She was so excited. Upon arrival she was able to see the castle right from her own bedroom window in our hotel. How exciting is that! She then was able to go become a princess at Bippity Bobbity Boutique. It took almost an hour to finally get her to sit down in the chair and let them do her nails, make up and hair. We were there for a total of 1 and 1/2 hours, where a typical visit should last 30 minutes. By the time we left every worker (Godmother) knew her. Oh what memories she made...but I am so glad she finally gave it. She loved it by the end though. Afterwards, we went to dinner where she was able to meet Cinderella, Prince Charming, and her step-mother and step sisters. Savannah was "star struck". The next day we went to Magical Kingdom. She had such a great time! Her two favorite rides were the tea cups and thunder mountain (which we rode at night and was a totally different experience and a bit scary). However, Savannah thought it was great! She met several of her favorite characters, including her favorite princess, Rapunzel, and her favorite fairy, Tinkerbell. That night we went back to watch the fireworks at the castle. The next morning we had breakfast at Chef Mickey's. It was such a fun experience and she was able to meet Mickey and all his friends. We then went Animal Kingdom where the live show Lion King seemed to be her favorite attraction. That afternoon we had planned on going to a late lunch with the Princesses (there would be 5 of them). However, Savannah was so exhausted that she actually chose a nap over going to the Princess lunch. After her nap, we were able to go back to Magical Kingdom to watch the Electrical Parade. It was beautiful with all the lights lighting up in the night. Upon arriving the first day she got a first time visitor button and birthday button to wear. She learned very quickly how much attention you got by wearing her birthday button and made sure to stick her chest out a bit further to make sure everyone saw it and would wish her a happy birthday. Also, while we were out one night Mickey came to our room and left her a cake and signed photo! She felt like the most special little girl in the world! In between all this fun, Savannah enjoyed swimming in the outdoor pool and conquering her fear of the water slide (which she ended up going down around 8 times). The weather was gorgeous! What a fun time we had with so many wonderful memories made! I am so glad Joel and I were able to "tag along" for the ride!
