Poor Sick Baby!

This has been a long week! Savannah woke up on Tuesday morning with a 102 temp. I couldn't get her to eat or drink anything. She was very cranky and by early afternoon starting throwing up. She threw up 3 times in a 4 hour time period. She ended up taking a 4 hour nap that day and had diarrhea once. Wednesday she did not throw up at all, but still had a temp. and wouldn't eat. She mainly just cried and slept. She was awake for a total of 5 hours on Wednesday. By Thursday morning, we were still dealing with the same thing and had developed a dry cough. I took her to the Dr. Her throat was red so they did a strep test which came out negative. They told me she should be better by the weekend. Why they didn't do a flu test is beyond me. I almost asked for them to, and now wish I would have. Anyway, Friday came around and same thing. She was pathetic and cried all the time and still had not eaten hardly anything since Monday afternoon. Friday night she did not have a temp anymore, which we were thrilled about, and thought we were on the mend. Little did we know...Saturday morning she woke up and threw up ALL over her bed, her outfit, her feet...it was EVERYWHERE!! She continued to cry hysterically forever!! She wouldn't eat anything still, kept coughing and was very lethargic. I called the Dr. again and they said to bring her in. We went in and they told us that it was to late to do a flu test, I guess it has to be done between days 2-3 of symptoms and she was on day 5, but that she would guess that is what she has! The flu!!! She got her flu shot this year! She told us if we didn't see some improvement by Monday or if the vomiting got worse or if her temp. comes back to bring her back in! I pray that she gets better VERY soon and that neither her daddy nor I end up with the flu also. We all got our flu shots this year...but guess it didn't help much!
