Joel and I are back from our cruise. We had a GREAT time! The weather was wonderful! However, we did have a few days of some heavy rocking of the ship! There were 8 foot seas one evening. That night I kept waking up because it felt like I was going to fall out of the bed. We visited Nassau, St. Thomas and St. Maarten. While at Nassau we were able to go deep water swimming with the dolphins at the Atlantis Resort. It was AMAZING!! We did this thing called the Foot Push, it is where the dolphins push the bottom of your feet and make you like ski across the water! You were going so fast. The pressure from the dolphins were unreal! It was a lot of fun. Then we took these little water scooters and were able to swim with the dolphins. You held on to the water scooter and it took you through the water and under the water so you didn't have to swim yourself. Last we got to feel, hug and give the dolphins a kiss. They felt very smooth and soft. It was the most amazing experience! They took pictures of us during this excursion. I purchased them and will try and scan them tomorrow so I can post them to show us in action with the dolphins. At St. Thomas we went on a submarine. It took you 90 feet deep in to the ocean. We were able to see all different types of ocean life without getting wet. We also saw a couple of sharks while down there. At St. Maarten we went on a 85-foot catamaran. They took us snorkling near some pretty coral and rocks, then we enjoyed music and snacks while we sailed over to a deserted island where we were able to enjoy some time on the beach. It was a very fun day! The islands were BEAUTIFUL!! I would love to go back and spend some more time on them some day.
On another note, Savannah did wonderful with my parents. In all we were away from her for 8 days. My mom survived and Savannah transitioned wonderfully without us. I didn't think she would be home sick for us having Nana and Papa around spoiling her! I did miss her a lot though and am very glad to be home with her again! I swear she seems she has gotten older while we were gone! Thank you mom and dad for keeping Savannah for us and allowing us this time to spend alone together!
