Savannah Update...

After reading my friends blog about what her children were up to these days I thought I would give an update on Savannah since I have no recent pictures to share. So here are some recent things she is doing.

1. She continues to amaze us each day with how smart she is and how much she can do and understands!

2. She LOVES to play outdoors...she would spend all day everyday outside if I would let her.

3. Her favorite things to play with right now are these BIG blocks that look like bricks. She loves to stack them so they are as tall as she is and then knocks them down and laughs. She also loves to play Dr. She is too cute wearing the little stethescope around her neck and giving everyone, including our dog, shots. She likes to push her baby doll around in the stroller and feed her a bottle. She is also starting to learn how to play with little people. It is so funny when she is pretending to be one of the little people...she talks in a high voice and shakes it back and forth as if they are talking.

4. She is trying to repeat EVERYTHING that you say these days. She has many words that she is saying, a lot you can understand and some don't sound anything like the word. One of my favorite words that she says is "baby". The way she says it is soo cute. When she sees pictures of herself around the house she will point and say "baby". She is also saying a few 3-4 word sentences. Some are "I want that", "I want a bite that", which means I want a bite of that, "I want ride that", she started saying this after going to the fair this fall. She also says "No, mine", usually she is saying this to our dog. And also she says "I like that".

5. She is becoming very independent, which makes me very sad. She wants to try and do everything by herself....slide down the stairs, go up the stairs, put her shoes on, put her puzzles together, etc...

6. She is always on the go and never sits still for even a minute. However will give lots of love. She is constantly stopping, coming over to me, puckering her little lips and giving me a kiss and hug and then off she goes again. She is very sweet!!!

7. She knows where her head, nose, eyes, mouth, ears, bellybutton and piggies are.

8. She knows what sound a dog, kitty, sheep, chicken, lion and tiger makes. However her favorite is roaring like a lion or tiger!

9. Her favorite songs right now are Itsy, Bitsy spider, Open / Shut them, and Pat-a-cake (thought technically that isn't a song). She knows the motions to them also. It is very cute to listen to her sing them and do the motions by herself. Though the only word in the songs you can understand is "open".

I can't believe how much she has changed over the past few months. I was delighted to spend time with you guys in October.
I can't wait for Uncle Steve to see her again. He will be amazed!
