Date Night

So Joel and I had our first official night alone this past Saturday. Savannah spent her first night with her Nana and Pawpaw while Joel and I enjoyed some time just the two of us. I will have to say I was very proud of myself to finally be able to let go. It only took me almost 8 months : ) We went out for a nice late lunch, shopped and enjoyed some delicious shooters (desserts) from Applebee's. It was very nice to spend some time with just my hubby. However, even though we were only away from Savannah for 1 night I missed her like crazy! I could not wait to see her and kiss on her again! I had such a hard time sleeping that night. I am not sure if it was a coincidence or if it was a subconscious thing not about not having Savannah there or what. But at 2:30am I was really starting to get frustrated at myself. Joel says it was because it was the first night away from her. I am sure the more time she spends at Nana's and Pawpaws house the easier it will get for her mommy. We will definitely try and start having a date night once a month. It was very much overdue!
